Overview:
Sylarus is the leading US supplier of germanium (Ge) substrates to the solar power industry. Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) solar systems utilize high efficiency solar cells to convert up to 40% of the sun's energy into electrical energy. At the heart of these high efficiency solar cells is a multi layer semiconductor which uses Sylarus' Ge wafer as the base layer (substrate) for the multi-junction semiconductor.

Market:
CPV is making the transition from use in satellite power systems to utility scale terrestrial systems. The solar power market currently generates greater than $10B in annual revenue and is growing at over 30%.

Investment Status:
